It can be used on nitrided steel, stainless steel and raw steel handpans, making it an easy all-round option for regular instrument care.

How to use

Start with a clean, dry handpan. Apply a small amount of oil to a soft microfibre cloth and spread it into a very thin, even layer over the steel surface. You only need a little — the handpan should feel protected, not oily.

For regular players, occasional application after cleaning is usually plenty. If your handpan is exposed to humid or coastal conditions, you may prefer to care for it a little more frequently.

Good to know

Handpan finishes vary between makers, so if you are using a new care product for the first time, we recommend testing a tiny amount on an inconspicuous area first. Avoid applying oil to a dirty or damp instrument, as this can trap moisture or residue underneath the protective layer.
