Handpan Tuning & Repair Service

Professional handpan tuning and repair support in Sydney.

If your handpan sounds out of tune, has been dropped, damaged, dented or is no longer playing as it should, submit the details below for an initial assessment.

Each instrument is assessed individually. Once we review the condition, maker, scale and video, we will let you know whether the work is possible and provide a quote.

Request an Assessment

Sydney tuning sessions are scheduled periodically. Submit your handpan details below and we will contact you when the next suitable tuning round is available.

The assessment process

How it works

  1. 1

    Submit your handpan details

Tell us who made the instrument, when it was made, the scale, number of notes and what problem you are experiencing.

  2. 2

    Send us a clear video

The video should show the full instrument and clearly demonstrate the tuning or damage issue. Please play each affected note slowly.

  3. 3

    Receive an assessment and quote

We will review the information with the maker and let you know whether the instrument can be repaired or retuned.

  4. 4

    Confirm your booking

If you approve the quote, we will reserve a tuning slot and provide drop-off instructions.

  5. 5

    Drop off your handpan

The handpan must be delivered to our Villawood showroom before the confirmed tuning session. Collection details will be provided once the work is completed.

For the clearest assessment:

  • Record in a quiet room
  • Place the handpan on your lap or a suitable stand
  • Show the full instrument
  • Play every note slowly and separately
  • Play the affected note several times
  • Show any visible dents, marks or damage
  • Do not add music, filters or background audio
  • Make sure the link can be opened without requesting access

Tell us about your handpan

Each instrument is assessed individually. Please include clear, accessible video and photo links so we can advise whether the work may be possible and prepare a quote.

Service information

Every handpan is different, so we cannot confirm a price before assessing the instrument.

The final quote depends on factors including:

  • Number of affected notes
  • Severity of tuning drift or physical damage
  • Instrument material and construction
  • Number of notes
  • Single-sided or double-sided design
  • Previous repairs
  • Accessibility of the affected notes
  • Overall condition of the instrument

Double-sided and high-note-count handpans generally require more time and may cost more to repair or retune.

Submission of the form does not guarantee that the handpan can be repaired.
