Handpan Rental – Sydney Pickup Only
Take a handpan home, spend time learning and playing, then decide whether to keep it or return it.
You pay the full purchase price once, upfront. If you keep the handpan, it is yours with nothing more to pay. If you return it, we calculate the rental fee for the time you had it, deduct that fee from your original payment and refund the remaining balance.
There are no automatic weekly payments or ongoing charges. The weekly rates below are used only to calculate your refund if you return the handpan.
Collection and return are in person at our Sydney showroom only. No delivery or postal returns.

All prices are in Australian dollars. The upfront payment is the full price to purchase and keep that handpan.

How it works
- Pay once and collect. Choose your handpan and pay its full one-off purchase price before taking it home.
- Play it at home. There are no weekly bills. Your rental period starts on the day you collect it.
- Keep it or return it. If you keep it, there is no additional payment or action required. If you return it, we inspect the handpan and its accessories, deduct the rental fee and refund the remaining balance.
Rental fees and refunds
- A minimum rental charge of 8 weeks applies. You may return sooner, but the minimum 8-week fee still applies.
- After 8 weeks, we charge for complete weeks plus any remaining days. Each extra day is charged at one-seventh of the weekly rate. The total rental fee is rounded to the nearest cent.
- There is no maximum rental period or return deadline. You can return the handpan whenever you choose.
- The rental period ends when the handpan is physically returned to our showroom.
- Rental fees are capped at the amount you originally paid. Once accumulated rental fees reach that amount, there is no remaining rental refund. You can simply keep the handpan with nothing further to pay.
Refund = original payment minus rental fees and any applicable deductions for damage beyond reasonable wear and tear or missing accessories.

For example, if you return a Riza Beginner after 8 weeks and 3 days, the rental fee is $112 + (3 × $14 ÷ 7) = $118. Your refund is $271.
These examples assume the handpan is returned with all supplied accessories and no damage beyond reasonable wear and tear.
About the instruments
Riza Beginner and Riza 12-Note
Our Riza rental stock includes lightly used handpans returned through our two-year upgrade trade-in policy. Most customers upgrade after around three to four months, and few keep them for more than six months before trading them in.
Some are unused handpans with minor cosmetic imperfections, including light surface oxidation or discolouration following extended transit and customs delays. These cosmetic imperfections do not affect sound quality, tuning or playability.
Every handpan is inspected for sound, tuning and physical condition, with minor tuning adjustments made where needed before it is offered for rental. We will show you the condition of your handpan before collection.
Yula 9-Note
These are lightly used trade-ins from customers who purchased a Yula and soon decided to upgrade to a more expensive model. Each handpan is checked and adjusted for tuning where needed before rental.
Octopan
The Octopan option is a brand-new handpan, offered at its full purchase price with the same option to return it and receive the remaining balance after rental fees.

- Please contact us before returning your handpan.
- Return all accessories supplied with the handpan.
- We inspect the handpan and accessories before calculating your refund. Damage beyond reasonable wear and tear or missing accessories may result in deductions from the remaining balance.
