It's truly worth its price. The handles are slightly longer and thinner, more crafted compared to the standard mallets you receive when purchasing tongue drums. The mallet heads are slightly larger and heavier than the standard ones. For larger tongues, it produces a deeper sound that resonates very well. However, for smaller tongues (especially the mini tongue drums!) it almost produces no sound! This is due to its mallet head being unsuitable for such small tongues, therefore, these are not advised to be used with small drums and melodic counterparts. Beautifully made mallets though, for such a low price!
I absolutely LOVE my new tongue drum and Sansula!!! I needed a replacement drum stick and the service provided by Tiffany and the Little Kalimba Shop has been above and beyond, since I first discovered the business!!! I’m totally hooked, and also feel like ive made friends and family for life, super grateful 🙏🙏🙏
Melodic forest steel tongue drum mallets are a premium product! It's definitely worth it to have the longer sticks and nice rubber beater heads to play nice music with!
We bought a tongue drum in India but somehow in our travels, we lost the mallet sticks. I was delighted to find excellent replacements on Little Kalimba. I was pleasantly surprised by their prompt service that meant we had them by Christmas.
They are longer than the mallets that came with my tongue drum, so the balance is different. Also, I need to strike just right otherwise the tone sounds tinny, but again I make a few adjustments & with practice & time I will figure it out. Overall I like the mallets.
