My second purchase from Little Kalimba Shop—once again, excellent quality. The instrument is easy to learn and has a beautiful tone. I’m currently using it on a film score, and it records exceptionally well.

NARA LYRE 21 String Deer Mahogany
What is a lyre harp?
The lyre is a string instrument known for its use in Greek classical antiquity and later periods. The lyre is similar in appearance to a small harp but with distinct differences. The fundamental difference between a lyre and a harp is that in a harp, the strings enter directly into the hollow body of the instrument, whereas, on a lyre, the strings pass over a bridge, which transmits the vibrations of the strings to the body of the instrument – just as on a modern guitar.
In addition, most of the traditional harps use nylon strings, whereas lyre usually uses steel strings. In terms of timbre, the lyre still has a harp's ethereal and long-lasting tone, but it sounds more ancient with a deeper Medieval tone. The sound of steel strings adds a mysterious and unique beauty to this instrument.

Bought it for my daughter and she loves it! The lyre is beautifully crafted and produces such a lovely sound. It's easy to pick up and even just strumming it absent-mindedly still makes such relaxing tunes. Definitely recommend!
It’s simply perfect! I love my lyre, it has a vey beautiful design and the quality sound is amazing. I have not been able to stop playing since the moment it arrived. And also Tiffany was really attentive and kind. I’ll definitely buy more lyres here 🤎
An absolute beautiful harp/lyre in shape and sound. Excellent quality and very generous range of notes. Beautiful resonance. Cannot fault. Customer service is lovely as well.
I pre-ordered this instrument online, so it was quite a wait to receive it. I understood that a long wait was involved as the shop made that clear to me, I just wanted the instrument and was willing to be patient in order to receive it through a relatively local company whose staff seemed wonderful. The Little Kalimba Shop staff, and especially Tiffany, were very professional keeping me up to date with it and answering lots of questions :) Sadly the Lyre Harp was damaged in transit.. It was very well packaged and there was no evidence of poor handling, but it did somehow sustain damage. The breakage was disappointing, of course, but the Little Kalimba Shop responded more quickly to my message than I could have hoped for. Within a very short time I received an email (on a Sunday!!) assuring me that there would be a replacement item sent via express post as soon as possible. This was absolutely true and I received a tracking number and updates very quickly. I have since received my replacement instrument in perfect condition. The instrument itself is beautiful and the service that The Little Kalmba Shop offered has been brilliant from my initial inquiry online until receipt of my replacement instrument. I would definitely buy from this shop again and will happily recommend them to friends, too.
i was listening to some nordic music, heard a lyre, and of course had to buy one. I bought this one on a whim! Not something i would normally do . Fast mail got her to me really quickly, i unpacked her, and she was ready to play. Now, im left handed and pretty awkward, and really havent got any musical instrument experience at all, but this? .. this is a treat. She sits near my computer desk, near where i paint, and draw, and I just pick her up, and play at random. I am hoping to at least be able to string a few tunes together at some point, but atm i really dont care to be honest, I just enjoy her so much!
Beautiful sound and well made. Perfect if your songs are in C modes as there are no accidentals.
Arrived quickly and as described. Sounded great out of the box too and im looking forward to learning with my Lyre for many years!
Beautiful Lyre Harp. Beautiful solid timber & lovely ethereal sound. The protective case is strong and sturdy. I'm very happy with my purchase. Thank you Little Kalimba Shop this beautiful product.
It's beautiful! It was delivered so quickly.
Love it! The tone is stunning and the feel is very comfortable to hold and play.
I pre-ordered the 21 string BYLA deer mahogany lyre harp which was scheduled to be delivered in January. Imagine my surprise and excitement when I received it on Christmas Eve, just in time to display it under my Christmas tree. It is a beautiful instrument with excellent sound. Although a Kalimba stand which was ordered together with the lyre harp was not packed in it. Instead a few lovely little gifts and a Christmas card were included. Little Kalimba Shop immediately gave me a refund upon my request. Awesome customer services. I would recommend anyone who are considering to own a piece of kalimba or lyre harp, or other instrument to have a look at their products. I am thinking of buying a kalimba myself.
Can’t review, bought as a present for Christmas.
Great product. Fantastic service after having a few issues. Cannot recommend highly enough, thank you.
Love it! Thank you so much! I was really impressed by the sound quality. I ordered quite a bit, and it was a lovely suprise to find a few little extras inside. I've given some to friends and they've really like the gifts. Would recommend for anyone looking to make beautiful music without breaking the bank. :)
Great service and product The woman I spoke with on the phone was very helpful with advice on the right harp for me. The 16 string lyre has a beautiful sound and is a delight to play. Good value for money with a bag, stand and spare set of strings.
