High-End Material:
Handmade with top-quality walnut wood. Walnut yields excellent balance and comes with tonal characteristics that fall between rosewood and mahogany. Walnut also starts a little deeper on the low end, initially giving it a slightly woodier sound than koa. In addition, the low notes on this model are refreshing and ethereal.

Flat Board Kalimba
Bright, clear, and very defined sound — great for clean melodies.
Hollow Kalimba
Warm tone with longer sustain. The most popular choice, with a soft “wah-wah” effect when you play around the soundhole.
Acrylic Kalimba
Clear tone, but quieter. Acrylic doesn’t resonate like wood, so the sound is softer.
