Phoenix® Handpan Care Oil is one of our favourite simple ways to care for your handpan between plays. Made with 99.5% plant-based raw materials and essential oils, it gently cleans the surface while leaving behind a light protective barrier to help protect your handpan from rust and oxidation.

Unlike heavier oils, Phoenix is designed to leave no greasy residue — just a clean, naturally polished finish. A little goes a long way, making the 100ml bottle perfect for regular handpan care at home or while travelling.

How to use

Apply a small amount of Phoenix Oil to a clean, soft microfibre cloth and gently wipe it across the surface of your handpan. You only need a very thin layer — more oil doesn’t mean more protection.

For the best results, make sure the handpan is clean and dry before applying, and use a separate clean cloth to lightly buff away any excess.

A little handpan care goes a long way 🌿

Handpans are made from steel, and while different steels and surface treatments offer different levels of rust resistance, regular care is still one of the easiest ways to keep your instrument looking beautiful for years.

We especially recommend giving your handpan a quick clean after playing if you have sweaty hands, live near the coast, or regularly take your instrument outdoors.
